The re-election campaign for Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison has released a new 30-second TV ad this morning, hitting airwaves across the 17th District of Cook County.
The ad (see below), titled "Pin the Tail on the Donkey," focuses on Morrison's 17th District primary challenger, Elizabeth "Liz" Doody Gorman — specifically Gorman's track-record of claiming to be a Republican yet supporting leftist policies, lockstep with former Democrat Cook County President, Todd Stroger and current Democrat Cook County Board President, Toni Preckwinkle.
The ad closes by highlighting Liz Gorman's history of playing fast and loose with handling taxpayer dollars — covering lavish personal expenses, tuition, demanding high-dollar salary increases, and even threatening to file lawsuits, at taxpayer's expense, if she was not provided a massive severance payment after being fired from her position due to revelations of self-dealing and questionable rewarding of public contracts to those closely tied to the Gorman grift.
This ad only touches the surface on the long history of Gorman corruption, financial improprieties and mismanagement, and self-dealing. Our campaign looks forward to sharing these facts while highlighting Commissioner Sean Morrison's successful track-record and leadership over the last 7-years.
